Our long-term impact on society

Through our business, GrandVision touches several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Many of the goals cover issues that are core to our CSR efforts, including anti-corruption, labor rights, responsible procurement, diversity & inclusion, and safety and environment. These are issues where GrandVision has made a commitment through the UN Global Compact to prevent or mitigate a risk to society in the form of a significant potential negative impact on people, society or the environment.

We have identified a range of SDGs where we have the potential to make a positive impact, either directly through our business or indirectly through our value chains. Corresponding to our current long-term value creation, we see the greatest potential for positive impact at scale through our business on SDG 3 (good health and well-being) and SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth). As a producer and global retailer, GrandVision recognizes the greatest potential for mitigating negative impact at scale in SDG 12 (responsible consumption and production). The table below explains how we contribute to the realization of the SDGs through our CSR initiatives.
