CSR Focus areas
GrandVision’s CSR Ambition addresses four focus areas:
- Improving the quality of life of customers and employees
- Enhancing socio-economic development
- Being a responsible and trustworthy partner
- Minimizing our environmental footprint
Through our website and our CSR Report we inform our stakeholders on the impact we create within these four focus areas. We will further operationalize our CSR Ambition and CSR management control framework by setting targets and measuring our progress against these objectives.
By defining the impact within our four focus areas, we also aim to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These 17 global goals were adopted by the 193 countries of the UN General Assembly and include 169 targets, covering a broad range of sustainable development issues. We have identified a range of SDGs where we have the potential to make a positive impact, either directly through our business or indirectly through our value chains. Corresponding to our current long-term value creation, we see the greatest potential for positive impact at scale through our business on SDG 3 (good health and well-being) and SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth). As a producer and global retailer, GrandVision recognizes the greatest potential for mitigating negative impact at scale in SDG 12 (responsible consumption and production).
